This Series kicks off with intensive DBT Core Principles modules, which will help you begin to transform your mental health.

Every week you’ll join a close-knit group of individuals virtually who will provide encouragement and accountability as you explore DBT essentials.

The DBT Core Principles modules are a required first step before you unlock the next Group Series group level, where we dive deeper into the methodology and practical applications that make DBT so successful.

He has knowledge and training in PTSD with war veterans as well as children in the foster care system. Dr. Nguyen uses his educational and professional background to support group dynamics.

Shonna is able to utilize many different approaches to help all her clients achieve their therapeutic goals. Advanced DBT Skills Curriculum

Month 4 - Mindfulness

  • Learn in-depth about dialectics, the middle path, and your wise mind.
  • How to practice mindfulness by utilizing “what & how” skills
  • Learn about daily mindfulness practices through breath work, visualization, and mindful movements

Month 5 - Distress Tolerance

  • Focus is on learning about Subjective Units of Distress (SUDS) and Crisis Survival Skills
  • Learn about Radical Acceptance Skills and how to implement them.

Month 6 - Emotion Regulation

  • Learn how to describe and manage extreme emotions.
  • Learn about secondary emotions and how to identify them.
  • How to be mindful of your emotions and problem-solve.
  • Learn ABC and PLEASE skills.

Month 7 - Interpersonal Effectiveness

  • How factors can reduce interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Learn how to establish boundaries and their intensity.
  • How to practice DEARMAN, FAST, and GIVE skills; while also learning validation.

Month 8 - Putting it all together

  • Focus is on identifying learned skills from Month 4 to Month 7 and how to implement in your daily life.

You will have one weekly virtual session led by a licensed clinician with up to 12 group members. You'll see the same faces each week, allowing you to feel more comfortable and accountable throughout your mental health journey. The first three months will cover the DBT Core Principles, followed by the advanced levels where you'll dive deeper into the methodology and practical applications that make DBT so successful.

How is this course billed?

Your card will be billed $299 upfront for the first introductory 3 months DBT Core Principles modules and then $100 at the start of each month-long billing cycle thereafter. If you are unable to attend a session one week, you will be able to read through that week's course manual at your leisure during the week to make sure you are up to speed for the following session.
